Laptop, Sony VAIO Laptop



Sony VAIO VGN-TZ298N/XC is the next release of Sony Electronics.
It is a new laptop model based on the previous VAIO TZ ultraportable laptops configurations and design but with some important improvements such as a 64GB SSD and the 250GB HDD, replacing the existent 48GB SSDs and 100GB HDDs combinations.

The 11-inch notebooks come with an external DVD burner and a beautiful, redesigned, Bordeaux Red premium carbon fiber casing, while the 1366 x 768 pixels displays will feature the LED backlight technology.

They will be powered by the Intel Core 2 Duo Ultra Low Voltage processors such as the U7600 running at 1.2GHz, Intel GM945 chipset with the integrated Graphics Media Accelerator 950, and will have 2GB of RAM memory.

For connectivity the model supports Gigabit Ethernet, USB, VGA out, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, 56K modem connection, and Sprint Mobile Broadband.
There will be also a fingerprint reader, the ExpressCard support and Firewire, while for for video conferences it will bring a built-in web camera with.

VAIO VGN-TZ298N/XC weights approximately 2.6 pounds, is 1-inch thin and operates up to 9 hours with a standard battery and up to 13 hours with the large capacity battery version.
After the official release we’ll find out more about the price, which will probably be between $2,500 and $3,000.
